Frost and Olives

Tonight was the first night with really cold weather, leaving night frost in shadowy places even on our eleven o'clock. We went walkies with Nellie and her mum on the gravel roads in the nature reserve, watching the sheep from the other side of the fence.

Until... Just near the allotments, a sheep and two lambs were grazing happily. Outside the fence. Oh dear! Even though me and Nellie are obviously dogs, we don't have much herding experience. So we stayed with my mum while Nellie's mum played border collie and steered the sheep back to the fence and made them jump through! How cool is that?!

Our olive tree and also the apricot tree have been outside until now, but had to come to the glassed-in balcony yesterday. For winter. The olive tree has hundreds of tiny ripe olives that are inedible according to mum, but pretty.
