Monkeying Around

We managed to get everyone out of the house by  midday and went over to Go Ape at Grizedale Forest. It wasn't a complete success as both of our children discovered that they had a fear of heights while up in the trees. 
Alfie gave in gracefully but poppy was less than graceful and could probably be described as mildly hysterical.

Next, we drove into Hawkshead and found a pub where we regrouped and planned our next move. We decided on a walk which went well until we got lost. We eventually found our way back to the car and came home for another Prior/Donnan feast of epic proportions.

Hi-lights of the day include a crossing from Hawkshead to Windermere on the ferry and an end to the relentless rain. We even spotted some blue sky!
