My Yearly "Chore"...

Dear Diary,

Every October, on my "to do" list, is scattering milkweed seeds.  Of course, I have to photograph them first.  I just love their silky soft texture next to the prickly surface of the pod itself.  They are so photogenic.

I always pick some and then, as I drive down the road, I hang them out of the window to scatter the seeds along side the road.  These are important flowers for the Monarch butterfly so I do my part "planting" the seeds.  I suspect people must think I'm a bit touched in the head but I don't care a bit.  Anything I can do to help the endangered butterflies I will do.  Besides, it is fun watching them fly out the window.
