The Big Boot

Had a 90 minute walk with the dogs this morning, along the edge of Bramham Estate. When we got to the corner of one of the fields I discovered this enormous wooden boot sculpture. It is being used to block the entrance to the field from the road. Must be about 2 metres long and 1.5 high. The boots screwed onto the top (see extra) give it some scale!

After lunch I popped out for supermarket supplies and Mrs madwill drove up to Darlington to see her mum who arrived home from hospital this morning.

I will be off out with the dogs again later and then will be doing a midweek roast for tea - chicken, roasties, cheesy leeks, carrots and broccoli followed by boozy plums and custard. Boozy plums are simply halved plums poached in some port. There may also be a bottle of wine involved as we eat our tea.
