Ceremony

What a strange week this has been.  First off hubby was unwell with a flu virus, which naturally I caught, fortunately I didn't get as sick as hubby.  This situation actually lead to us being housebound on Thursday, which was the day of the late King's Cremation Ceremony, so we thought we have a quick look at the televised coverage.  It was mesmerizing,  the  pageantry,  the amazing choreography, all contributed to a memorable occasion.  The Royal Urn was transported on a 14 tonne golden  carriage, with members of the armed forces preceeding and following.  Members of the Royal Family took part in the procession.   Later in the evening there was entertainment in the form of Traditional dancing where a battle was played out between the defenders of heaven and earth, the costumes were incredible, my shot of this puppet reflects the costumes and masks that were worn.

A sad time for the people of Thailand.
