Nine Miles!

After a nice lazy start to the morning, seeing as we gained an hour, we've actually been quite productive.  Alan tidied the garage to make room for the garden furniture which we then packed away for winter, we went for a walk with the boys and then decided to go out on our bikes.

It's been a gorgeous day although there's been a north wind, so it was windy in our garden but once we got down to the beach it was nice and sheltered by the cliffs.  We cycled 9 miles in total, riding to the marina, and back, stopping at Molly's for a hot chocolate before tackling the hill back home.

It was really busy down at the beach, both cafe's were full but we managed to get a table and it felt so warm sat in the sun - it's hard to believe it's November in a couple of days!

Fuelled with energy, we set off for the final leg, albeit I turned Betsy into Turbo mode and sailed up the hill while poor Alan had to use pedal power.  I do love Betsy, she was a very good buy!

The roast is now cooking, and we're going to chill out in the Palace for a while.  Alan will be watching the F1 tonight, so I'll try and catch up with you later.
