On top of the World

This morning we awoke to a rather grey and drizzly day so it seemed the right thing to go off to the Richmondshire Museum which strangely enough is located in the town of Richmond.

On the way there we travelled across the Moors. 1500 feet above Sea level. No cars no people no pollution no sound other than the wind. Sheer bliss.

I like Museums and this was a particularly good example with lots of interesting artefacts and information on the history of the town.

On the return journey via Leyburn, we stopped at a Farm Shop for a well earned cuppa and sandwich.

The farm had a number of animals including Llamas, goats and pigs. There was also a Shetland pony called Rollo who seemed very docile until I got too close to the gate whereupon he took a bite out of my nether region. Ouch!
