Beef day ....

A day of cattle work. The vet out pregnancy testing some cows and taking blood samples from some heifers for the annual BVD test.
Tagged a group of calves then an afternoon spent clipping and vaccinating the rest of the heifers that came in off the hill last week.
A Beef Group meeting tonight where talks included feed topics and the shortage of feed and bedding due to the poor harvest, and how to help prevent calf pneumonia . The highlight was the supper ,a muckle plate of mince and tatties . The things you do for a free feed !
