Hampsfell

I have orienteered on Hampsfell a couple of times but have never before seen the Hospice.  A shelter for walkers built in 1846 with stone seats, a fireplace and poems to read. A summit finder on the top and amazing  views .   We did have mainly sunny today but I liked this shot better. I have a sunny shot to send to my brother who insists it rains every day up here.  That's all he remembers from 3 years at Lancaster Uni in the 70s and has not been back.  Mr P and I walked leisurely to the top while R did a 5km loop of Eggerslack Woods before meeting us at the Hospice. A Nice Day for wide angle Wednesday
