Rooftops in the Gloom

12.5C rainy. Beginning to clear late afternoon. Moderate WSW/W breeze.

This morning I went round to the Picture House and met with the archive group and two members of the board who gave us a grand tour of the Picture House. Plenty of time to look round and talk about it with the people who have seen the project through from its inception. The exterior has been restored as close as possible to the original 1913 look, and the interior to the look of the 1930s refurbishment. Seating, lighting, and safety considerations are very much 2017 as is the completely new second screen building. Looks great. Thereafter we repaired to the Royal hotel for coffee and a chat/meeting.

This afternoon it kept on raining, so I didn't go walking.
