Wells Cathedral

A sunny, almost spring like day - and following a morning visit to the Haynes International Motor Museum - Mr MD has a Blip - we moved on to the city of Wells.     My blip today is taken inside the cathedral, looking down the Nave towards the unique and stunning Scissor Arches, often mistaken as being modern but are, in fact, of medieval origin.   The choir and organist were practicing for Evensong so we sat awhile and listened.   Very moving.     My extra shows the cathedral's west front bathed in the late afternoon sunshine.
