The Red Room

Today started off with a visit to the Haynes International Motor Museum - just up the road from Wincanton.  I've visited a few Motor Museums in my time - but this ranks as one of the very best.
They have over 400 cars - and a few motorcycles :-) - on display - quite a magnificent array - and all in superb condition.
My Blip is of the 'Red Room' - a novel way to display a range of cars - all red.
My extra is a superb Jaguar Mk VIII - 1957.  Back in the very early 60s a friend of ours bought one for his wife.  She was not the most confident driver in the world - and this is a big car.  When out shopping she used  to call in at the local Police Station and ask if she could park it on their car park - and could they also park it for her.  They always agreed :-)
After the Motor Museum we went to Wells - for a bit of culture - and a most enjoyable visit to the truly magnificent Wells Cathedral.  Mrs MD has a Blip.
