A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

Outside Inside

A day of two halves. The morning was a sawing up / splitting an awful lot of firewood and the associated tidy/sort of the woodshed.  The afternoon and evening was a sort/tidy of the basement.  This was partly to clear enough space to get the spare shelving down here so that stuff could get off the floor.  Naturally, stuff is now scattered across the floor while working out what goes on what shelf.

The day was punctuated by Mooncoin popping back with his flying machine to have another go in less contrast'y light.

Anyway, this is the basement window.  It would have looked onto the open staircase leading down from the outside.  The 'external' door to the basement is to its left.  However, at some point the external stairway was blocked off in favour of making connections between the main house and the Smoking Room all of which made sense but it just seems so wrong.
