Hidden wonder

I was walking along our local greenway with the one who calls me Papa, when I saw a small collection of colour, almost hidden beneath the dying foliage. They stood out, alive, contrasting against the dull brown, fallen leaves. I could have missed them, except they captured my attention by their sheer vibrancy. Life and death are part of our everyday existence, the ebb and flow of nature. They remind us of our mortality, and challenge us to spend our time wisely... Take time to smell the flowers!
