Quarry Bank House

A month or so ago a mill worker's cottage in Styal village was opened to the public.  Now the Greg's house (the mill owners) is open too.  It is a bit bare at the moment and you can't go upstairs because the cantilevered staircase won't cope with 300 visitors a day (which is what they have been getting since it opened, and that can only get busier as time goes on), but it is still worth a visit.  You can now see a mill worker's accommodation, the apprentices accommodation and the owner's house all in one visit - and the mill itself, of course, and the rather impressive gardens too.
