Fun Things To Say

In German when words start with "kn" you pronounce the K and the N.  So the familiar brand Knorr is K-Norr (where the K is soft as in kin).  And das Knie (the knee) is das K-nie.  And so this biscuit is K-noppers, which is quite fun to say.

Or rather, after the day I've had, it's quite fun to say.

I logged on to my computer at 7:10 this morning and spent the day fielding phone calls, and analysing problems and fixing things and suddenly it was 20 past 5.  I had stopped talking by this stage and was simply making deep rumbling noises which most people seemed to understand.

I was, and still am, exhausted.  I think it's the first time that G has heard me on the telephone for that length of time. 

The real fun and games start tomorrow morning at 4.  I expect my first phone call at 5 past.  Here's hoping I get more than 2 hours sleep.
