Playing Close to Home

I was on-call from 4 this morning.  And I interpreted that to mean that people can phone me after 4.  So I set no alarm, and went to sleep hoping that I would get to sleep until a normal time.

My mind didn't play along, which is why I was bright as a button awake at 10 to 4.

I played by the rules, and read until I feel asleep again.

And when I woke up at 8, I logged on to see what had happened.  From my perspective, it was fine.  No incidents, no problems and best of all, no phone calls.

It's been quiet all day, and I've been sporadically checking that nothing untoward has happened.

It's nearly 7 in the evening, I think I'm safe now.

PS 10pm, nothing happened.  Time for a Bier
