Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

HAPPY

Our day to pick up Fiona from school.  We had an errand at the hardware store where she was happy to look at everything and found some dinosaur cookie cutters and a waste basket she “needed” so I thought, well, OK, we’ll make dinosaur cookies.

But somehow ? we got diverted when we got home ….to sewing,….

Fiona learned how to use my sewing machine that I got from Sears in 1962..it’s still working just fine,..….she made 2 pillows….she could thread the needle a lot better than Iand learned not to race the paddle too much. !   I asked her what her mood was when she was just about finished with the first pillow (here)….she said “Happy” and “Fun”.

She IS a happy kid.   ON her own she finds art stuff to do or sings a lot or tells stories or  (today) makes salmon-hummus-chip “sandwiches” for us (try them—they are good!)    She never asks for TV.   Sometimes a book.  If she’s not writing or dictating her own,   Pizza or pancakes for dinner…tonight we had pizza.

She was very happy to show her projects to her family.

BTW you wouldn’t know for the tank top (and baggy basketball shorts you can’t see) that it SNOWED in Seattle today!!  Didn’t stick but all sorts of planes were canceled due to weather.   Very bizarre this early
