Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

A rainy walk by water

But different water.   We decided to go to the arboretum waterside trail…nevermind that it was raining… it’s so great to have this area so close to us in the city.  Lake Washington.    And this trail goes under the new 520 bridge and freeway.   We haven’t been there since there has been impressive new planting under it, part of that project.  Still fall colors, but a bit hazy due to the weather.   I couldn’t really decide on one photo so put a page on flickr.    Plants, trees, leaves, paths, ducks, birds, canoers, kayakers, bigger boats, fishermen, walkers, dogs, rowers ..they’re all there.  The last rowing regatta is tomorrow so a few were out there practicing.  (Do hope the weather is a bit better! I do miss rowing here , but not in this weather so much :-))  The band was playing in the Husky (UW) stadium, practicing for the late afternoon football game.
A lovely fall morning in Seattle.

We used to walk here with the grandkids a lot before the nearby MOHAI
museum moved to South Lake Union.  I think Fiona hasn't done this.  Have to fix that!
