Glen Lethnot

Glorious day for a hill walk (or run in Mr Rat's case).
Met up with a couple of friends a few miles from Edzell (not far from Brechin) to climb Hill of Wirren, a modest hill with mainly good (almost too good) tracks.
The sun shone all day and it was pretty warm ascending but there was a chilly breeze higher up. The trig point was behind a double fence and bogs so we didn't do the extra few yards - and I don't think it's at the top anyway. We went a little further than intended due to there being many more tracks on the ground than on the map but it didn't matter, just gave longer to admire the views.
The main pic is taken on the way up and the extras are: a group photo on the second summit, muir burning high up and reflections in an artificial lochan on the way up (looked good on the way down, too).
Plenty of time for tea and cake in Edzell on the way home.
We did 10 miles, Mr Rat did 13+ and we passed him just near the top - he'd taken a longer route up
