Little Fishes

I don't think I've ever blipped my little fishes before. It was getting late and there was nothing in the camera, not even a squirrel today!

At emergency blip time, I set about photographing this 18cm ornament. It's one I had in the shop but, when I bought it, I knew I really wanted it for myself. It was easy to want ALL the gemstones I had in the shop!

These fishes are made of labradorite, it's a feldspar of similar structure to moonstone but shows a golden or blue schiller, dependant upon the angle of the light hitting the stone. It was quite hard to show all the effects in one shot from one viewpoint. 

I tried my best....
