Freshly Minted?

I think this cute adorable little bank vole is the  smallest I've ever seen. He was scarcely bigger than the sage leaves in the herb garden from which he emerged to raid the birds' ground feeder. I think he must be very young. I hope he can fatten up before the cold  really sets in.
