Bartlow Hills

In the next village we have some impressive Roman Burial mounds, so Martin and I took the opportunity of a sunny autumnal afternoon to take the dog out to check they were still there.  They are, but you'd never know how to find them if you were a casual visitor, there are no signs from the road.

We also saw some WW2 Tett Turrets (possibly) nearby.  They don't seem to be find-able at all on that there internet despite ones in Docking and Hornchurch being described as 'listed' and being quite rare. 

Bartlow doesn't seem to publicise it's treasures much; it may be deliberate.
