We've friends from my university days staying here this weekend, each with a connection to the house I shared so many years ago.  After a seasonal bonfire we shared a meal at the Railway Inn. Despite years of Post Nortonian Trauma, we didn't have octopus*.

* This will make sense only to a very select few. Probably best kept that way.
