The halfway leader

A quick check of third round tee off times yesterday afternoon revealed that the leader was playing Carnoustie today. Maeve the Deerhound and I paid our usual early visit to the Coop, then I parked the car at the Leisure Centre and walked along to the Championship course.

After two rounds in the Alfred Dunhill Links Challenge, having played Kingsbarns in 60 and St Andrews in 67 for a halfway total of 17 under par, Branden Grace was on the Tee at Carnoustie this morning for his 10.06 am tee off time. The blip is of the leader (in grey) having a practise swing on the first tee before he started his round.

Branden Grace is from South Africa and is a 3 time European Tour winner with total prize money in Europe of 1.4 million Euro since turning Pro in 2007.

It will be interesting to see if he does well at Carnoustie :-)

This will be the last of my short series as a bliparazzo as the tournament finishes tomorrow and is held at St Andrews only.

Later Maeve and I will have a quiet non blip walk :-)

Update: Branden Grace shot a 3 under par 69 at Carnoustie to go to 20 under par for the tournament after three rounds.
