New Zealand Scaup - Papango or Black Teal.

One of these ducks is not a scaup -  no prizes for guessing correctly. The scaup is a very sociable duck often seen in small flocks. The male has a golden eye and the females eyes are brown. It appears that they do not mind if the ones they are socialising with are a different type. People could learn from them.

This is the only pic I took today - just wasn't in the mood because I knew I had to stop on the way home and look at curtain samples for the 3 bedrooms. I was given a pile to take home and check in the night light as well and someone will come tomorrow morning and measure up. There is just too much choice and I have never had clear ideas about decorating.
