You may remember how, one Saturday, I lost my glasses when picking rosehips, and, later that same day, found them.
In the couple of hours between the 'lost' and 'found' I had been persuaded to order replacement glasses and, having re-examined the selection on offer I chose to have the same frames again, partly because they were from an inexpensive range.
So, having found the originals and no longer needing new ones, we went straight to the optician after church next day to ask if I could cancel the order. The lovely assistant Mike thought not, and phoned the lab to check - but they had already begun making them up (how's that for fast service?).
So, here they are, my new glasses, and my old(er) glasses. Will I be able to tell them apart? Yes, because, barring accidents, the new ones will live in their case and not see the light of day.
C'est la vie.
