Coins of the Realm (UK) - and a study in depth of field!

You would think that the tiniest coin would have the tiniest value, wouldn't you?    Nope!  (I think the US dime is their smallest in size but the 1c the smallest in value ..... maybe!!)

Our tiniest coin here (legal tender) is the 5p piece - going from right to left of my photo ........ 5p, 1p, 20p, £1(the new version), 10p, 2p and £2.

For non-UK money handlers:  100p in a £1 ...... we went decimal in February 1971 - before that there were 240p in a £1.

As I am uploading this a day late I cannot go back and re-photograph it -  and I have just spotted my deliberate mistake of omitting to include the 50p ....... grrrrrrrrrrrr. 

Ah well.
