Cloud inversion

On y way back from Booths in Ulverston the mist was still hanging around in the valley around Newby Bridge. I opted for detour to the viewpoint near Gummers How and was not disappointed. As I drove up towards the viewpoint the mist cleared and I emerged into bright sunshine. The Claif is just visible above the cloud on the far side of Windermere and in the distance are the Coniston fells. Windermere is somewhere at the bottom in the cloud. The view would have been better had I climbed Gummers How but I had neither the time or a camera so an iPhone blip had to suffice.
