Snatch & Grab

Filling in the gaps.  I remember taking this rose last week when I was a bit preoccupied with other things.  I think, looking back,  I was printing photos for competitions. Anyway I spotted the colours of the changing foliage on a shrub in next doors garden, which drew me out with my camera.  In the end I decided that I preferred the rose photo to the foliage.  Although I initially regretted not taking off the petal I've now decided I rather like it. It adds a certain balance to the composition and I think says something about the end of the year.
