This sight always strikes me as incongruous, when we walk back along the darkening shore of Loch Striven and come across some huge ship moored at the fuel depot pier - especially when it puts all its lights on, as here. The hum of its engines (or whatever it uses that hums on these occasions) becomes attributable rather than the doubtful noise of what might be a distant car on the road and the very specific whiff of fuel overwhelms the damp leaves and seaweed smells of the surrounding area.

I'm adding another shot of the loch before the sun completely vanished, simply to underline the contrast between beauty and industrialisation in one forgotten spot on the backwaters of the Firth of Clyde ...
