Ice on the pond

Lots of good intentions to work on our website today but other things seemed, suddenly, to take priority - it is after all a Saturday! (And when it's been quite a hard week at the day job, it's sometimes difficult to be very enthusiastic about working at weekends too...)

It's been a busy day, all the same - several domestic chores tackled, and two walks with MrM and Louie. This morning, it was the usual walk around the Common. Cold and frosty - a little ice on the pond - and the sky was amazingly blue. The pond looked quite beautiful, reflecting the last of the autumn foliage. This afternoon we stopped for a while at Fowberry, and while MrM did his squirrel duties I walked to the bridge and admired the autumn colours (extra). Then a walk in Chatton Park woods - more glorious autumn foliage, and fabulous views of Hedgehope and the Cheviot. As the sun went down, so did the temperature - rapidly! Called in at the garden centre on the way home and bought winter pansies to replace the summer bedding plants in the courtyard. That's tomorrow sorted out, then...
