McCrae's Battalion

This morning we went to the Remembrance Service at Haymarket. It remembers all those lost in war but especially the Hearts players who were members of McCrae's Battalion. The Hearts Chaplain reminded us all that many of those who signed up lied about their age so were younger than the minimum age of 16. A sobering reminder to us all.
