Grasmere sunrise

Some might recognise this image.  Taken from just outside our cottage.

We kept an eye outside this morning whilst still in our night clothes.  Total grey high cloud outside.  Looked extremely unlikely we would get any colour in the sky.

Then a very mad dash to get clothes and boots on to get outside when the first signs of pink flicked on the underside of the clouds.

This was the best of 5 images.  Then the light was gone.

Currently in Garden Centre waiting for our breakfast to arrive and planning the day ahead.  Cold and grey outside.
