Fallen among the roots

Walking downtown the long way round to go through the park. Lots of fallen leaves and I loved the contrast of the still colourful leaves here which have fallen among the roots of the big tree covered in moss.

All these lovely elements of nature are so closely connected:
The earth in which the tree grows, the leaves which have grown on the tree and which have now fallen to create compost which will nourish the roots. The cycle of life.
