Quiet Day

Pete walked over for a cuppa and a catch up this morning, good to see him.  Since putting the dahlia tubers to bed for the winter, we've had a quiet afternoon so, before it gets too dark, I spent ten minutes with the camera pointed at the elder tree and was rewarded with the woodpecker.  Other arrivals were:  magpies; starlings; blue tits; coal tits; great tits; chaffinches; siskins; goldfinches and a robin.

I had my hand slapped several times over the 'edges' question on my jigsaw blip yesterday, ha hah!   The delivery man has been today with my Christmas jigsaw which I will put away until the arrival of the family in case I'm tempted to start it.
