Step Stool

The windows in our apartment reach almost to the ground -- there's a sill about 12" from the floor.  Mabel really enjoys walking -- and napping -- on this sill, but her short legs make it impossible for her to get up there without the assistance of a specially purchased just-for-her set of little steps. 

She has an uncanny sense for knowing whenever a camera is aimed in her direction, no matter how stealthy the photographer!  Just seconds before I took this picture, her highness was curled up, seemingly fast asleep, but the minute I even thought of capturing her on film, she snapped awake and gave me this censorious gaze.
