King George Place, since 1836

Toronto's George Street, over 150 years ago, used to be one of Toronto's most exclusive addresses.Today, it's a mix of derelict heritage buildings, gentrified heritage buildings, and new structures. This boarded up place suggest and old gentleman's club or something at 66 George Street. It's quite old by Toronto's standards. Toronto incorporated only 2 years earlier in 1834 from the original town of York. I'd love to take a peek inside this building, which is part of the Imported British & India Goods Wholesale Warehouse (circa 1833) - a business of one of the city's early mayors: George Munro.

George Street history.
