Fancy a seat?

At first I thought these were a rather modern version of the traditional park bench.
They are, in fact, vehicle barriers which have been placed all around the Christmas market in Harrogate as an extra security measure.
I have never seen this happen here before, and it is a sad reflection of the times we live in.
