Uist - Sunrise

Lovely sunrise this morning so dashed out with my camera. The photo makes it look positively tropical but in reality it was pretty nipsy out there!

It's almost a month until the shortest day but it already seems like short days - it was getting on for 9am when I took this photo (it says 09:47 in the EXIF data but I obviously haven't changed the camera time since the clocks changed 3 weekends ago. 

According to t'interweb the sunrise time for South Uist is currently 08:19am so this was around half an hour afterwards. We're at over 57 degrees north here so have long days in the summer with it hardly getting dark and very short days in the winter.

I'll probably spend some more time later back blipping... It's amazing how many photos i've taken over the course of a year.
