Feathers Are Down :(

I saw a little pile of feathers on the ground the other day. I fear that the sparrowhawk, or some other predator, has caught one of my female bullfinches. :( It was a horrible wet day today so I got the feathers out of my pocket and photographed this tiny one under artificial light which means that I haven't been able to show its light pinky-buff colour accurately. I have two larger black and white feathers. Bullfinches have a white rump which is very noticeable in flight.
