Coffee in style

We had an amazing day in London to celebrate m6 birthday. I wanted to go to the V&A to see the women’s hour craft exhibition so off we went. The exhibition, although the exhibits were beautiful, was very disappointing and there wasn’t much to see. I suppose I just had much higher expectations.

So after that we had coffee and cake and decided what to see next. It wasn’t a cheap cuppa but oh the atmosphere and surroundings were so worth it, blip is the cafe. The cafe at the V&A was spectacular. A very fine example of Victorian art and decor.

We headed off in search of the furniture on the 6th floor. We walked through all the China which was something that I would not have chosen to look at, but wow it was a making, we even saw the Cornish blue and white, which I have a lot of. Loved the furniture too.

Then we trotted through Kensington to the Saatchi Gallery. Very modern, very different and thought provoking, quite challenging ‘art’.

Noodles and beer at Kings Cross before catching the train home. Home to a welcome by L and more presents.

What a fab day, thank Mr PB xxxxx
