Mother of Thousands

I can't remember when we acquired this plant but it has produced many offspring over the years thanks to its very effective means of reproduction, with hundreds of baby plantlets appearing along the edges of the succulent leaves. In Britain it is grown as a house plant, but in countries whose climate is more similar to its native Madagascar, it has the potential to be an invasive weed.

This is a an EB, taken late in the evening. The light was beautiful again this morning but we'd arranged to go and visit Molly, leaving no time for a photographic escapade beforehand. Lizzy came with us and we had a very happy couple of hours, only slightly marred by Molly having a dizzy spell at the end of our visit - a result of her turning her head too quickly. Luckily she fell towards the settee and I was there to make sure she didn't fall over. We never quite managed to discuss arrangements for Christmas - perhaps on our next visit...
