All that jazz

I am a complete jazz novice and the Cambridge Jazz Festival is on. We pored through the programme to identify any 'entry-level' events and found this jazz choir set headlined by the London Vocal Project. Various other events involved Cambridge University academics discussing the philosophy of jazz. These would not have been suitable for a Saturday afternoon.

This high quality picture is of the back of the conductor of the choir at his piano. He was a charismatic compère and the choir contained some truly excellent amateur voices. One saxophonist called Pat Bamber really stuck out with his solo, as did another member of the choir called Davide Basso.
