A Lazy Blip .....

..... after the wedding weekend ....... a pheasant berry flower brought inside and photographed in front of the much-used black background with the trusty LED torch shining merrily!!!!

Friday was Flowers and Shoes ......

Saturday was Cutting the Cake

Sunday was An Industrial Sunrise

Please go and take a look at a couple of my first-ever wedding photos (....honest comments please....) if you have the time.

The day did not go without hitches ......

Flynn, the 11 week old puppy, fell off the garden table (?? - don't ask!!) and pulled a ligament in his leg, was rushed to the vet and had to go to kennels bandaged up.

Preparations with the bridal party started at 10.00am, we had lots and lots of time then all of a sudden it was 2pm (wedding scheduled for 3.30pm) and no-one was dressed - three bridesmaids, one baby, the bride, bride's mother and the photographer (me) all trying to get changed in a three bedroom/one bathroomed house!!!!!

The bride's mother then set fire to the kitchen bin - that had to be rushed outside and doused with water which resulted in ....

...... the music for the ceremony being left at the house ..... the wedding was delayed 25 minutes while it was retrieved - also left was my tripod which was not retrieved in the chaos (hand held photos all day)!!!!.

Pageboy Ashton (aged 7) was car-sick and arrived as pale as a ghost (but happily ok after the 25 minute delay).

The groom and the two pageboys (being ferried by Himself - groom's Dad) got caught in traffic and arrived with one minute to spare.

Groom's brother and family got lost ....... luckily, as it was all running late, they actually made it in time!!

The wedding scheduled for 4pm and their party arrived before we even got started and waiting rooms were starting to be in short supply ........

On the upside of the arrangements ......

The bride and I went to the reception venue on Friday night and finished off the decorations (3 hours) and the room looked brilliant - thank you to Lyn, the club owner!.

The ribbons on the three wedding cars looked good - my car is only a two door coupe and my rental of a four door "marriage carriage" was upgraded free by the lovely car rental people.

The cake was a triumph (I did not make it!!!).

The batteries in my camera did not run out and I had enough memory cards.

The best man smiled and joked his way around the delay - shook hands or hugged and kissed everyone (whether he knew them or not) and made everyone feel welcome and kept us all laughing.

The bridesmaids and pageboys did not fall out and even the baby did not cry.

The sun shone all day ....... although it was cold.

And - most of all - the Bride looked beautiful and the Groom looked handsome in his tailcoat - tears were almost shed (by the bride) during the ceremony but no-one fluffed their words, the rings fitted (and were not lost) and Lisa and Stuart became "Mr and Mrs Robinson" with this song playing as they signed the Register.

(On another musical note, with Lisa's sense of humour to the fore and after 14 years and four children together, THIS , was played as the Bride and her father entered the room!! Please listen as it's a beautiful song in its own right.)

A wonderful weekend.

..................... and thank you to all of you who have managed to read to the bottom of this long ramble. I will be posting more photos into either flickr or my blipfolio in the coming week or so ......

No blips tomorrow or Wednesday as I have to go to work in - SPAIN!!!! Yay (not another Heathrow job) ....... Happy Monday everyone.
