Telopea

Having missed Floriade in Canberra, we were keen to see the much vaunted spring flowers at the Hobart Botanic Gardens.

The tulips were not quite to Canberra standards but the telopea were glorious.

Even better, catching up with two old friends, one unexpectedly, one according to arrangement, neither of whom I had seen in twenty years. It might have been twenty minutes. Wonderful.

The pink processing is for Pene and also for one of these two friends, who's just been diagnosed with cancer.
