Milford Sound and More

The glorious sunny weather continues (sorry Snowy, I know you need the rain!) and it was a perfect day to drive to Milford Sound for the boat trip. Having heard so many people say they didn’t get to see it because of bad wearher, we feel so lucky.

The views were every bit as spectacular as we’d hoped and my camera was in overdrive. A couple more in extras for those who missed it all.

As if this wasn’t excitement enough, we had decided to blow our savings on an early Christmas present to ourselves and booked a flight back from Milford Sound to Queenstown instead of the 4 hour bus journey. Wow, wow and more wow! The views from the plane were amazing, with snow covered mountain tops and lush valleys between with beautiful lakes as well. So glad we did this flight or we might have always regretted it.

Relaxing now in the still hot sunshine and we’ll be moving on tomorrow to a very different environment.
