Dining Out Malawi Style

This is tha mid-day meal on the farm, with produce from the farm and cooked by one of the female workers in rotation.
The meal is always Nsima (a boiled maize flour) and relish as they call it.
The relish is generally beans or as in this case rape, tomato and onion.
They generally refuse carrots, parsnips, turnips. They are learning to eat amaranth, peas, broccoli and Irish potato.

From right in the picture is Benidicto, head of organis pest control, Crissie in charge of seed collection and first aid, Robert, farm manager. Next is Martha, just a recent resident on the farm and son Sanderson. Her husband manages the upper farm and is responsible for pigs and fish.
