Mary and Miriam visit Msiki pre-school

This is Mary and Miriam after delivering a training session at Mskiki preschool. It was a hugely successful day. Below is the report I received from Miriam about the day:

PHASE 2 WORKSHOP REPORT

PEOPLE PRESENT: The representative of GVH Andrea Moyo, caregivers from 7 preschools and some of the committee members and Wells for Zoe team, preschool, forestry and pads project.


ACTIVITIES

PRESCHOOL
Hearing from caregivers what they are doing with children so that everyone can learn from one another.
Then we discussed the play areas which could be in a class e.g. dramatic area and demonstrating the activities with everyone. Learning area and building and music area (dancing).

FORESTRY
Angelina talked about agro forestry and terephrozia plant, Blue gum and pine for business.

PADS PROJECT
Volunteers from Ireland talked about sanitary pads, which 20 women caregivers and 1 man managed to saw one to carry home and they promised to teach girls and other women who were not present. I t was a successful program.

REMARKS
Caregivers were very happy for having triple activities which were all useful to them. Thanks to wells for zoe for this trip
