What I've Done

Grasmere

Please look LARGE

First day of our autumn nature workshop today, so we set off for Grasmere and Penny Rock wood in particular to get shots of early autumn colours and fungi.

We did manage a great crop of varying fungi, from Shaggy Foliota, through weeping polypore to earth balls, but our attention was continually drawn to the lake, and the total lack of wind. The whole day remained calm and tranquil. Filled (photographically) with our haul of fungi, we set off round the back of the lake, to get some landscapes.

This one is taken from the North shore facing west - I did like the little boat house nestling in the foreground trees and separated from the distant fells by mist.
